Blood transfusions save lives, but it is critical that patients are given compatible donor blood or a life-threatening immune reaction could occur.
This game teaches students which blood groups are compatible for transfusion in a fun, fast-paced and engaging way.
• Students make the game cards from the colorful parts of the template
• They then become doctors in a race to save a patient by building up the right combination of units of blood for transfusion
• The player who saves the most patients wins!
• Teaches important concepts such as universal donor and universal recipient.
• Takes about 20-30 minutes to build the model!
