ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

DNA mapping is a common procedure used to determine the location of genes. In this experiment, DNA markers and pre-digested plasmid DNA fragments are mapped using agarose gel electrophoresis.

**Includes SYBR® Safe DNA Stain, NOT FlashBlue™ DNA Stain**
• Understand and explore restriction enzymes using DNA mapping
• Perform agarose gel electrophoresis to separate DNA fragments from three restriction enzyme digestions plus a standard marker
• Determine the size of the DNA fragments generated
• Construct a restriction enzyme map of the plasmid
