ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:
Teach the periodic table by playing fun card games!
Understanding how the periodic table is organized is essential for understanding how elements are related to each other and how they react.
With this deck of cards, students will learn about different representations of the first 20 elements of the periodic table and will discover the names and symbols of the elements and how to work out their electronic configurations!
First, your students make the deck of cards and then they make the periodic table.
Then they make the periodic table. Students will work out the positions of the elements by group and period based on their electronic configurations and will then analyze the atomic number to place the element symbol in the correct position. Finally, they match the element name with its symbol. Traditional card games like “Pairs” and “Go Fish” can also be played to help learn element names and symbols.
Covers: atomic mass, atomic number, element names, element symbols, electronic configuration diagrams, electronic configuration numbers, groups and periods.
Takes about 10-15 minutes!
