Cyclones (or lows) are swirling weather systems that can bring clouds, rain and storms. They happen when warm air rises forming clouds. Anticyclones (or highs) are the opposite and bring good weather conditions. Show how these form and why they cause changes to the weather with this model.
First, your class make their models of cyclones and anticyclones. Then, they use their models to look at what happens to the air within them, the importance of pressure differences and why this changes the weather.
The model covers cyclones, anticyclones, outflow and inflow, the direction the wind rotates and the role of air pressure.
