Dissect a paper rat with your class today! Using our innovative model, students will carry out a dissection using a paper model of a rat. A great way to prepare for a dissection or as an alternative to a real dissection!
First, your students make their model of a rat from the colorful template. Then, they build the rat and then add the organs to the model.
The model can be used look at the anatomy of the major body systems. It covers the
circulatory system (heart and major blood vessels),
respiratory system (lungs and trachea),
digestive system (mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, liver),
excretory system (kidneys and bladder) and
male & female reproductive systems. It can also be used to show a
pregnant rat.
Compliments the
frog,
fetal pig and earthworm dissection models.
Takes about 30 minutes to make the model but can be carried out over a series of sessions.
