ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

Show your students the structure of the Ebola virus with our paper model!

Ebola is a highly contagious virus that causes a fatal hemorrhagic fever in humans and animals with up to 90% mortality. Ebola attacks immune cells, causes inflammation and damages blood vessels resulting in shock and death.

Ebola has a single-stranded, negative-sense RNA genome that is protected by a nucleocapsid. The virus uses glycoproteins on its surface to bind to receptors on its target cells. Ebola's polymerase enzyme replicates its genome and transcribes it to make viral proteins.

• Students make their model of Ebola virus out of the colorful parts.
• Utilize the 3D model to look at the main features of its structure, including the envelope, nucleocapsid, RNA genome, polymerase, matrix and glycoproteins.
• Takes just 30 minutes to make the model!

Perfect for use in class or for distance learning at home!

Origami Organelles are downloadable paper models that you print and make as many times as you like! When you purchase a model, you are licensed for unlimited use on a single site or campus.
