Your students will enjoy learning about Chlamydomonas with our colorful model. Chlamydomonas are single-celled green algae that live in freshwater that share features with higher plants. They swim using their two flagella towards the brightest light for photosynthesis.
The model covers all the main parts of these cells: chloroplast, flagella, eyespot, contractile vacuole, pyrenoid, cell membrane, cell wall, nucleus, chromosomes, mitochondria, and Golgi.
Students make their Chlamydomonas model using the colorful parts working alone or in small groups. It can be printed in color, or in mono on colored or white paper.
