ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

Teach the Krebs cycle in a new way!

The elegant way in which energy is extracted from the food we eat is an amazing series of molecular steps.

With this set your students will make their own colorful molecular models so they can work through the transformation of pyruvate to acetyl coenzyme A through the link reaction as though they are the enzymes themselves! They will then progress onto the Krebs (or citric acid) cycle and dance through the 8 steps that capture as much energy as possible from acetyl coenzyme A using NAD and FAD. You can use the model to show some or even all of the steps.

Origami Organelles are downloadable paper models that you print and make as many times as you like! When you purchase a model, you are licensed for unlimited use on a single site or campus.
